Description
The EPA published the Lead and Copper Rule Improvements on October 30, 2024. This training covers early implementation requirements and a timeline of LCRI to include the following:
• Tier 1 PN and PE requirements for lead action level exceedances
• Service Line and Connector Inventory
• Lead and Copper Sample Site Plan
• Lead Service Line Replacement Plan
• List of Schools and Child Care Facilities
This training reviews these requirements and where water systems can find resources to help them complete these required items before this new rule goes into effect on November 1, 2027. As of this date the new lead action level will be lowered to 10 ppb.

Target Audience
This course is intended for all community and nontransient noncommunity water supplies that must comply with the Lead and Copper Rule Improvements. The audience should be all operators, water supply managers, and system personnel that deal with regulatory compliance issues at the water system.
