The “Groundwater Withdrawal” course was developed to provide water operators and water resource professionals with an understanding of the principles, practices, and operational considerations involved in extracting groundwater for drinking water supply. The course aims to build foundational knowledge of groundwater withdrawal systems, including the operation and management of wells and related infrastructure, while emphasizing the importance of efficient, sustainable, and safe groundwater use.
