Additional treatment processes such as lime softening, corrosion control, fluoridation, and iron and manganese treatment are used to address the specific challenges of each water source. In other cases, specialized treatment processes such as activated carbon treatment, membrane filtration, ion exchange, and PFAS removal are used.
