Description
The Long Term 1 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule (LT1ESWTR) will be in effect starting January 2005 for public water systems that use surface water or groundwater under the direct influence of surface water (GUDI), use conventional or direct filtration and serve less than 10,000 people. Starting in January 2005, these systems must comply the treatment technique, turbidity and reporting requirements of the LT!ESWTR. This course is designed for small water system operators to learn how to properly complete and report combined filter effluent (CFE) and individual filter effluent (IFE) results using the SDWA-5 and SDWA-1 forms. The course will cover, in-depth, the laboratory reporting instructions for public water systems using filtered water or GUDI sources, as well as various clarifying tips for complying with the LT1ESWTR.
