In this study unit you will learn about cranes and other types of equipment used for heavy lifts. This study unit is not intended to make you a knowledgable equipment operator, because every manufacturer's equipment, and specialized training on specific types of equipment is always necessary. Rather, this unit is intended to make you familiar with the range of equipment available in the marketplace and help you understand the benefits and limitations of each category of lifting equipment.
