Description
This Contact Hour describes the purpose of drinking water disinfection and the desirable properties of a disinfectant. Pathogens and indicator organisms are defined and various disinfectants and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed. Finally, disinfectant residuals, byproducts and regulations are covered.
