Description
In this study unit you will gain a better understanding of the work practices necessary to operate industrial machinery, such as a bench top drill press or a 10 ton mechanical power press, safely. You will learn how the principles and practices used to keep you safe from injury can be incorporated into your daily routine. Your responsibility is to work as safely as possible at all times, especially when using power driven machinery. Awareness and sound practice of the safety procedures you'll learn will offer your best defense against work place injuries. You will learn the skills needed to become a productive and safe industrial machine operator.
