Description
This course was designed to raise awareness on the subjects of cross-connection control and backflow prevention as wellas to provide a technical overview of cross-connectio control. The target audience for this course is water supply employees ranging from operators to administrators. The course can also be a good introduction for private contractorssuch as plumbers or fire suppression professionals

Course Content
Subjects covered in this course include but are not limited to the following: Backflow incidence disscussion, backflow hydraulics, cross-connection control concepts and definitions, review of backflow prevention devices and their applications, the ten steps to a successful cross connection control program and a review of the cross-connection control plan template CD. There will be a short quiz at the end of the course.
Target Audience
Water system employees including operators,distribution system personell, and administrator as well as anybody who deals with plumbing of any kind. Waste water personell would also benefit from this training.
