Description
This workshop is designed as an introduction to the regulatory requirements for nutrient controls in the Chesapeake Bay, and the techniques available for sampling and the measurement of alkalinity, nitrogen, phosphorus, DO and BOD in wastewater, environmental water, and industrial water. The course objectives will be met by presenting technical background, incorporating practical applications of sampling and analytical testing, and through "hands-on" experience using portable field use and laboratory instruments. Students are required to analyze water of samples of known and unknown values.
