Description
The primary focus of this training is to provide the fundamental training to promote chlorine safety and prevent unintended releases at water and wastewater facilitiesduring disinfection and maintanance activities. The training course provides instruction on the operational theory maintanance and proper handling of chlorine distribution system components in water treatment and wastewater treament plants.
This 18-hour program promotes operator safety by following elemints related to the usage of chlorine: specific safety and health hazards, emrgency operationsinclding shutdown, and safe work practices applicable to the employee's job tasks. This course includes lecture, student handouts, table-top exercises and group discussion opportunities.
