Description
Either due to rapid operator turnover in the wastewater treatment industry, or an actual shortage of availability classes focusing on basic activated sludge process control techniques, many operators have trouble understanding why certain routing process control tests are used. Most likely, these same operators are already performing these tests, but don't know how to use the valuable information they provide. Common activated sludge process control tools who's proper use and purpose is often overlooked by the operator include: pH meter, D.O. meter, microscope, settleometer, and sludge judge.
