Description
There are many organic chemicals with widely varying properties. The properties of organic compounds affect both the removal and treatment methods used in water quality. Inorganics are mineral-based compounds such as metals, nitrates, and asbestos that do not contain organic materials. Inorganics in water are naturally occuring and also come from municipal and industrial discharges, non-point water pollution and water in contact with pipe materials. The properties of inorganics also affect both the removal and treatment methods used in water quality.
