Description
The purpose of this course is to provide information necessary to aid staff in working safely with electricity while meeting regulatory compliance needs. Every year, far too many workers are injured and killed working with electricity. Lack of knowledge, inproper safety proceedures, and inadequate and/or improper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are several of the main reasons for these traumatic situations. The Lock-Out / Tag-Out Standard was created years ago to protect workers by developing policies and procedures to safely work with electricity. The newer '70-E' standard further defines safety standards and protocols for keeping your employees safe. Attendees will be able to assist in the further development of a company's electrical safety and Lock-Out / Tag-Out programs, and have a clearer picture of requirements (includiing additional training and safety equipment needs) that are necessary for safety compliance.
