Description
The ability to effectively flush the water distribution system is critical to maintaining the highest possible water quality. This class is intended to familiarize the superintendent or operator with the procedure necessary to design and perform a unidirectional flushing of the water distribution system. Subjects include: basic distribution system hydraulics, flushing program objectives, tool and equipment requirements, valve and hydrant operation, flushing program design, data collection, customer relations and flushing problem solving. Bring a calculator.
