Description
This course covers what composes a hazardous material and presents the requirements for the general handling, storage and disposal of hazardous materials. It covers what a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is and how to recognize the information contained in an MSDS. It teaches you to recognize the special response procedures necessary to handle hazardous materials spills, covers personal protective equipment (PPE) and why you'd use it. It also identifies the procedures for cleaning up a hazardous material spill.
