Description
This course covers filtration theory, different types of underdrains, filter media types, and backwash methods. It also includes filter control troubleshooting and operation and maintenance. Included is how to sample the media in a filter, what to test for and what to look for. Filter maldistribution is examined and its effects on filter performance are discussed. A discussion is presented on uncontrolled air, its effects on a fitler and how to solve it.
