Description
Occupational safety is of prime concern when operating heavy equipment. The safety of equipment operators, mechanics, helpers and laborers who come into contact with the operation of heavy equipment is the primary focus of this evaluation. This course is designed to meet the needs of the operator / mechanic while acquiring competencies related to the specific functions and limitations of the equipment. Also, the operator / mechanic should be deemed competent to operate any equipment in a real work situation. This course provides extensive operating preparation, safety training and continuous on-going evaluations. The performance evaluation and theory evaluation are intended to assess the operators general knowledge of safety, operation, productivity level and maintenance of heavy equipment. It is strongly recommended that safety / operation be an on-going process.
