Description
In 1972, the World Health Organization adopted an ORP standard for drinking water disinfection of 650 millivolts. That is when the oxidation-reduction potential in a body of water measures 650/1000 (about 2/3) of a volt, the chlorine in the water is active enough to destroy harmful organisms almost instantaneously.
