Description
As mandated by the PUC and strongly recommended by PA DEP, this course is designed to provide PA American Water System personnel with a tabletop exercise that will test the effectiveness of their Emergency Response Plans. Several scenarios recommended in the PA DEP Water Supply Manual and in the Emergency Response Plan template will be exercised. Six scenarios from the list shown above in Section 2c will be tested. Participants will use the procedures and policies outlined in their Emergency Response Plan to address each scenario. Each scenario will then be reviewed in a "hot wash" to discuss lessons learned and possible revisions to the ERPs. The anticipated end result of the course is that the PA American Water systems will have tested, analyzed and critiqued the effectiveness of their ERPs.
