Description
Designed to teach proper analytical techniquest associated with the assessment of bacteria and disinfectants in potable water. Participants will practice hands-on lab techniques including presence/absence and membrane filtration.

Additional discussion topics include sampling procedure, most probable number (multiple tube fermentation) and heterotropic plate count methods, confirmation techniques, and enumeration. Participants also learn about colorimetric analysis for chlorine and analyze chlorine samples and standards.
