Description
The purpose of this course includes basic introduction to slow sand filtration, including learning about the components and design considerations, filter operations, and keeping preventative maintenance, operation and equipment records with regard to slow sand filtration.

Course content includes a brief overview of the 4 basic classifications and comparisons of filtration followed by facility requirements needed to maintain a slow sand filter, as well as learning about operation for a slow sand filter and finally the maintenance, operational and equipment records necessary for a slow sand filter.
