Description
This is not a compliance program in the true sense of the word, in that having a
back injury prevention program is not required by OSHA. Even so, having such a
program in place is an important element in reducing injury costs and keeping all
employees safe and healthy.
Developing a back injury prevention program is an important step toward helping
employees avoid back injuries and reducing the related costs to your company.
Creating a written program will help you gain commitment fiom management and
employees, identify problem areas and implement solutions that reduce the
incidence of back injuries
