Description
NIMS for the Fire service is the documented system used for managing emergencies. NIMS was designated by the DHS secretary Tom Ridge and has been incorporated into the training curriculum presented at the National Fire Academy. This course has been developed and delivered by an instructor in a classroom. NIMS provides the nation's First Responders (Fireman, emergency medical services, Law enforcement, etc) with the same foundation for responses to emergencies caused by fires, floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, tidal waves, riots, hazardous materials or other natural or human-caused incidents.
