Description
Most water and wastewater have either fixed or portable gas detection. I have found that many facility employees have little to no training in the use and maintenance of this equipment. This is a hands-on safety training class to instruct employees how to use, maintain and understand the data provided by their gas detection system.

* Review purpose of gas detection
* Discuss the types of gas detection and sensor configurations
* Discuss importances of pumps and battery types
* Review calibration requirements and calibration gases
* Discuss common gas detection problems
* Have attendees demonstrate an understanding of their gas monitor
Target Audience
Wastewater operators, water operators, and any municipal employees who normally uses gas detection during a normal work day.
