Description
Local governments and utilities use Geograpic Information Systems (GIS) to improve the management of infrastructure assests. Digital mapping with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools is replacing paper-based mapping systems. GIS enhances CAD by linking map features to database information that can be visualized geographically. This course is designed to introduce water and wastewater personnel to GIS technology and its applications.
