Description
This one-day workshop provides an intense introduction to filter maintenance, construction, operation and diagnostic techniques. Whether you are a plant manager, plant maintenance person, process chemist or engineer you will participate in hands-on exercises, and learn valuable information.
The course is held at an operating water treatment facility and will include laboratory and in-the-filter hands-on exercises.

*Filter construction materials, including filter bottoms, media types and configurations, air scouring and surface wash systems
* Backwash parameter selection, including rates, media expansion determination methods, backwash efficiency testing methods
* Filter media evaluation, including filter coring and media analysis
* Filter problem identification and remediation
* Review of sample filter inspection programs
