Description
* Understand the basic principals at work in the cryogenic air separation method * Understand the properties of air, oxygen and nitrogen * To understand the basic principals at work in the oxygen generator process * To identify the systems in use at SEWPCP * To understand the basic principals and procedures of system start-up * Understand the four hazards related to oxygen separation plants * Understand the personnel hazards related to oxygen separation plants * Be able to identify and explain the function of: - the high pressure column - the low pressure column - the main condensor - the waste nitrogen subcooler - the liquifier * Be able to identify and explain the function of the turbine expander, LOX storage, tank pressure control and instrument air systems.
