Description
During training, properties of chlorine are discussed; chlorine MSDS are reviewed, repair Kit-B for 1-ton containers are reviewed; inlcuding Power Point, video, and physical demonstration on the application of Kit-B, staff participates in applying Kit-B to a training chlorine container; all followed by a chlorine safety quiz. The second half of training included instruction on the chlorination system and equipment at the Allentown facility and a review of the annual risk management plan. It details unloading, connecting, pressure checking, and disconnecting the chlorine ton containers, evaporation and chlorination equipment, leak detection, and operation of chlorine scrubber. The session includes Power Point presentations followed by short quizzes.
