This course will give an overview of techniques for water treatment and purification. The course will begin with basic filtration and continue to more advanced membrane separations and distillation techniques.

Several fo the newer water treatment techniques are from the family of membrane separations. Membranes may be used to transport contaminants away from the purified water or the water may be transported across the the membrane leaving the impurities behind.
