Description
The course combines lecture with field work. The participants will gain an in depth, on-the-job training while performing the various sampling techniques during the duration of the course! The course work covers a wide range of sampling techniques including grab and composite sampling.

* Learn NPDES terms that can help you avoid permit violations.
* Identify safety hazards on the job!
* Get the right bottle with the correct preservative every time!
* Understand hold times and analytical requirements to avoid costly “lab accidents.
* Learn why documentation is critical, “If it is not written down, it didn’t happen.”
* Learn what makes a sample ‘representative.’
* Prepare to perform measurements in the field chlorine, pH, Dissolved Oxygen, Conductivity.
Target Audience
This course is intended for environmental professionals who perform wastewater sampling. This course will also benefit those who are responsible for sampling techniques and quality assurance in the field. This includes plant operators and superintendents, consultant and industrial environmental engineers.
