Description
Many plant operators are unfamiliar with the fundamental forces involved with particle to particle interaction. The Coagulation and Flocculation processes make use of these forces and as a result it will be helpful if the operators can better understand these forces in order to make more rational decisions involving coagulant doseage. One of the important forces is electrostatic in nature and its magnitude is gauged by measuring zeta potential. This course will discuss the various tests that are available including which ones are appropriate for different situations. The main focus of this training will be on the proper technique for obtaining and running samples using the Zeta-Meter System 3.0+. It will also cover setup and adjustment of the instrument itself.
