Description
Too many wastewater collection system owners have taken on the attitude that what they don't see can't hurt them. This course is designed to be a hands-on lesson in teaching the value of protecting your underground investment. We will learn all about the components, regulations, design and construction, management and operations and repairs of our wastewater collection system through a combination of field demonstrations, power point presentations, and best of all, actual problems and solutions from our peers who have been in the trencehs themselves. In these days of rising equipment prices and enegry costs going through the roof, it is important that we get familiar with our existing pumping stations. Proper operation and preventative maintenance is essential. There are many new pumping stations being built each day. You must know which ones will work best for you. In this class, we will also get familiar with permitting and reporting and most importantly, we will learn how to develop proper safety practices which will be put to use on a daily basis upon returing to work.
