Description
Water/wastewater utilities are constantly challenged to produce high-quality plant effluents. Often the leader charged with this mission was previously employed as an operator and was promoted to Chief Operator (or Foreman, or other official title), or hired from outside the organization because of the individual's technical skills, personal attributes, or good timing. Unfortunately, it is very common that the hiring is completed and implemented without offering the successful applicant any formal leadership training resulting in a seat of the pants leadership style susceptible to miscommunications, resentment, and ineffectiveness. This course is intended to fill this void by exploring frontline leadership fundamentals as they relate to water and wastewater treatment.
