Description
A confined space is defined as an enclosed space that is not designed for continuous human occupancy and can have a buildup of gases or dust, or lack of oxygen that can put workers at risk of injury. Work in confined spaces is inherently dangerous. Proper training, planning and procedures is imperative. This emphasis is on educating the entry team, safety attendant and entry supervisors of their duties and responsibilities, reviewing the proper use of equipment and non-entry rescue techniques.
