Description
This course is designed to educate the wastewater operator about the various aspects of the biosolids process. We will cover the process from digestion to drying and land applying to beneficial use of biosolids. Attendees will work in small groups to do exercises where they will discuss a problem and come up with a solution about that process. It will provide all attendees a basic understanding of the biosolids process, regulatory requirements and assist them in doing their job.

* Develop a biosolids plan that is right for their plant.
* Identify the different processes that can be used to treat biosolids.
* Understand the PA regulations for landfilling and/or land application.
* Have the ability to maintain and operate biosolids equipment in the treatment plant.
