Description
Through classroom sessiona and practicle fieldwork, this course will give the students the ability to function safely and effectively as a memner of a rescue team, operatingat the scene of a confined space emergency. The subjects to be covered include safety procedures, definitions, rigging techniques, rescue techniques, and practical application through integrated exercises. This program in designed to follow the OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910.146.

Lesson 1: Confined Space Emergencies, definition, dangers and requirements
Lesson 2: Resporatory protection, anatomy and physiology
Lesson 3: Air monitoring equipment and data interpretation
Lesson 4: Respiratory pretection equipment for confined spaces, SCBA/SAR confined space stress exercise.
Lesson 5: Rescue knots and equipment, patient packaging and removal techniques, commercial and improvised lifting and hauling systems.
Lesson 6: Patient extrication, integrated exercise
