Description
Through classroom sessions and practical fieldwork, this course will reinforce with the student the knowledge and skill objectives in order to function safely and effectively in a hazardous atmosphere. In addition, the student will understand, select, and operate various types of atmospheric monitoring equipment on simulated exercises. Subjects to be covered include identification of the various IDLH atmospheres, procedures for the selection and operation of air monitoring equipment, equipment decontamination procedures, data interpretation and management, and integrated monitoring exercises.
