Description
Training of personnel involved in implementation of the EAP should be conducted to ensure that they are thoroughly familiar with all elements of the plan, the availability of equipment, and their responsibilities and duties under the plan. Technically qualified personnel should be trained in problem detection and evaluation and appropriate remedial (emergency and non-emergency) measures. This training is essential for proper evaluation of developing situations at all levels of responsibility, which is usually based upon onsite observations. A sufficient number of people should be trained to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
