Description
The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the design, operation, maintenance and operational problems associated with ponds & lagoons, rotating biological contactors and trickling filter treatment systems. An introduction to activated sludge systems will be provided as well.

* Ponds and Lagoons: an overview of the design, operation, maintenance and typical operational problems.
*up and maintenance requirements.
* RBCs: an overview of the RBC treatment process highlighting advantages and disadvantages, O & M issues and typical operational problems.
* Introduction to Activated Sludge: A basic overview of the activated sludge process will be discussed.
Target Audience
New operators, not yet certified and certified operators wanting to earn continuing education credit.
