Description
The concepts, treatment components, process control, and troubleshooting for the major components of a typical surface water treatment plant will be covered in this course. Coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration will be covered in detail, including the "optimization goals" of each process. Instruction and practice in solving typical operational and mathematical problems associated with these treatment functions will also be included. Participants should bring a calculator to this course.
