Description
This course is designed to give the employee an overview of safety in the field. Topics to be taught will be trenching and shoring practices with an overview of different soil types to look for and what various types of trenching can be used per OSHA standards in the scope of field work. A confined space refresher will be given and cover such areas a s gas detectioin, egress, attendants duties as well as entrants duties and the definition of what a confined space is. This course will also cover the proper procedures and PPE used when entering a confined space along with a simulated rescue. Roadway safety procedures needed to observed in a traffic work zone are briefly discussed.
