Essential Skills of Leadership builds a foundation that enables team leaders to manage their team toward to a shared goal; achieving the organization's strategic objectives. Throughout the workshop participants will review video presentations and case studies, participate in group discussions, practice new skills and receive immediate feedback. Managers will leave the session with implementation tools, troubleshooting guides and additional resources to help them immediately apply their new skills on the job.

Basic thru Intermediate

* Broad overview of concepts of leadership * Review of key terms throughout the course * An awareness inventory to measure the extent of participants' understanding of leadership basics *Esteem, Focus on Behavior (versus attitude) and Encourage Team Member Participation * Behavior modeling (observing bad modeling/good modelin; replicating good modeling through group excercises) * Preview job aids and resource materials appearing in student's workbook

Newly appointed leaders of people and projects, emerging leaders, those who have been in a leadership role for a period of time and need a refresher and anyone who will benefit from the objectives of the course
