Description
In July 2006, a Supervisor Training session that covered employment laws, policy overview, some miscellaneous items, and American Water's recruiting process was offered. More recently the American Water Training Department put on a program called "Stepping Up." This program covered the challenges a new supervisor faces, how to provide clear direction, how to motivate employees, etc. This "First Line of Defense" course would compliment the other two by covering more of the day to day tasks, such as Discipline, Hiring, Documentation, Violence, Terminations, and Discrimination.
