Description
The purpose of the course is to provide attendees with information that they can use to prevent strain and sprain type injuries from overexertions usually associated with manual material handling. The course will review how anatomy and physics play into manual material handling, and provide the attendees with specific examples of controls that can be used to reduce and eliminate their exposure to manual material handling exposures. The course will also involve group application questions. Small groups will be required to work together to review a manual material handling task, and determine the types of controls to use to perform the task as safely as possible.
