This course is important and vital so participants are able to define and identify the sources of undesirable inorganic constituents that may be found in drinking water, as well as assess the types of treatment available for those particular compounds and the monitoring equipment and processes for those organics.

* Identify and define the sources of inorganic constituents
* Explain the reasons for regulation of these constituents
* Identify the inorganics found in both primary and secondary standards for drinking water supplies including those not presently regulated
* Assess various treatment considerations for the specific inorganics and define their processes
* Describe monitoring protocol with regard to parameters and specific equipment
