Description
Some of the major installations in a manufacturing facility are its various piping systems. Piping is installed throughout a factory to carry water, air steam, gas, waste water, lubricants, and finishing materials. Each system requires special piping materials and installation. It is important to understand how piping is specified, installed and maintained. Improper installation of a piping system can be extremely dangerous and can result in damage to the facility and harm to the people who are working in the area. In this course you will learn the basic characteristics of metal piping and how it is specified. Then students will learn about head loss in piping systems and how to calculate it for a given pipe size and flow rate..
