Description
The main purpose of this course is to teach operators how to identify corrosive water and damages to pipes and facilities caused by corrosion. Also operators should be able to select and implement corrosion-control programs.

Course Content
1. Recognize adverse effects of corrosion 2. Describe how a pipe corrodes 3. Determine if corrosion problems exist in their systems 4. Determine if a water is saturated with calcium carbonate 5. Select the proper chemical to control corrosion 6. Determine the proper chemical dose to control corrosion 7. Use cathodic protection to control corrosion 8. Prevent soil corrosion (external corrosion) 9. Troubleshoot and solve corrosion problems 10. Explain and implement the Lead and Copper Rule
