Description
The main purpose of this course is to teach students how instruments work and how to operate and maintain measurement and control instruments. Other purposes include how to read and adjust unstruments and to determine the location and cause of measurement and control system failures.

1. Explain the purpose and nature of measurement and control systems.
2. Identify, avoid, and correct safety hazards associated with instrumentation work.
3. Recognize various types of sensors and transducers.
4. Operate and maintain measurement and control instruments.
5. Read instruments and make proper adjustments in operation of waterworks facilities.
6. Determine location and cause of measurement and control system failures and take corrective action.
