Description
This course is intended to increase class participants’ technical knowledge of the “control” processes that maintain and adjust parameters such as pressures, levels and flows in a water or wastewater plant. Realistic examples will be utilized to discuss the importance of a well designed, installed and maintained automated control system versus the potential operational nightmare of a poorly designed, installed or maintained automated control system. The fundamental control concepts currently utilized by water & wastewater facilities will be thoroughly explored. Theoretical and hands-on exercises will be used to demonstrate feedback control loop applications.
