Description
- The importance of the clarifier has been underestimated for a long period. Proper Return Activated Sludge (RAS) is one of the most important factor to make the WWTP work well. Scum and turbidity are typical symptoms for impaired clarifiers. Remedies will be explained. Proper aeration in the water treatment process can assist in the removal of dissolved gases such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and many volatile organic compounds. Aeration can also assist in the oxidation of iron and manganese for mechanical removal.
- Geyser airlift pumps provide an energy efficient pumping method for water/wastewater operations.
